We picked up a couple of kid bucks to bring in new blood....
not happening from the looks of these hoofs.
Weak Pastern, poorly shaped hoofs
He looks pretty good but check out how far back he stands on those front hoofs, this will only get worse as he ages and he will pass this on to all his off spring,
Hoof has no heel, weak pastern.
The devil is in the details, I can't breed these faults into my herd.
These faults show up on occasion even with our great efforts to not breed for them.
We just keep culling the bad and keeping the good.
