NEW HAY FEEDER

We did some rearranging this summer and the fence line feeder we put up in 2005 was taken out.   Have to say that it worked well for six years.

But it had some draw backs.  The cattle panels because of the large spacing allowed the goats to pull a lot of hay out of the feeder and some of them could push their horns through and then not get back out.  I lost one yearling doe that way last year.

We used the plans from Premier 1 for hay feeders, had to do just a little revamping to get some kinks out.  So far we really like them.  Smaller holes, no stuck heads and seems to be less waste.
